The Million Dollar Mafia Implodes ...

Nearly 2 years ago since it's inception by Mo Nikkels, The Million Dollar Mafia seemed to pull off one surprising victory after another. The unlikely new tag team of Curtis Byron Steele and Drake Irons under the tutelage of Nikkels would instantly make an impact on the tag scene from day one. Even pulling off the biggest upset and winning the GBW TAG TEAM Titles from the undefeated Hot Shots. By any means necessary whether fair or often not The Solid Metal Studs would continue to succeed where many thought they would fail.

Nearly a year and a half later Mo would make his second acquisition in a GBW superstar he felt had potential in "Fabulous" Fred Flash. Stating no expense was spared in the negotiations only to find his new investment now racking up loss after lost each month. Even the drastic means of having The Studs slowly strip away parts of his often "flashy" appearance and even his entrance music to hopefully get a result have failed.

What we haven't known or even heard about to this point has been the absence of Mo Nikkels from GBW the past few months. The mastermind as well as the financial backing of The Million Dollar Mafia has seemingly disappeared. The shocking reality we've learned is Mo Nikkels has walked away, stating the Mafia was a poor investment and a continual drain on his large assets. The seeming denial of this fact by Flash, Irons and Steele was short lived as separation became evident. Drake Irons feeling fed up has stated he's returning to California within the second week of June and formally disbanding The Solid Metal Studs with Curtis Steele. However, Curtis seems determined on going forward and not letting the past ruin what he can accomplish in GBW which may prove interesting to watch. The last member Fred Flash is still confused over the whole situation, but ironically seems to be finding guidance from Steele at this point. Out of the dramatic ashes of The Million Dollar Mafia what type of phoenix will arise? Will we see Mo Nikkels return in the near future? More questions are raised rather than answers but the results may become clear by June 19th.
