April 9 , 2005 - GBW Saturday Night Xtreme

-Match 1: Lucky (w/ The NJ Indy Allstars) vs. Nikki Starr

.winner:Lucky with a "senton bomb" off the top followed w/ a pin

Notes: A back and forth match which tested both men's abilities as the action was non stop. The Allstars suprisingly interfered very little in the match-up. Nikki would catch Lucky going into a tilt-a-whirl headscissors accidentally knocking the referee out as he hit a tombstone piledriver on Lucky.

GBW WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE 3-Way Match : The Zoo Crew vs. Xtreme Pandemonium vs. The NJ Indy Allstars(c)

winner: The NJ Indy Allstars. with Danny stealing a pinfall after Pandemonium took out Eric Pin-hat

Notes: The Zoo Crew is comprised of Bruno from The Hardcore Mafia and formely Ring Crew #2 renamed Eric "Pin-hat". NJ chose to spend most of the match on the apron letting both teams nearly destroy each other and occasionally interfering . The action would spill to the outside with Danny Rage hitting Bruno with a steel chair while the referee was keeping with the action inside the ring. Buster and Apollo would eventually hit a double team manuever on Eric before being distracted to the outside by JC Ryder allowing Danny to sneak in and score the pinfall.

-Match 3: The FAN vs. Chris Vertigo (w/ Scott Adams)

winner: The FAN with a "Fan-Favorite" onto a chair while the referee wasn't looking

Notes: The self professed "leader" of the GBW fans would find a challenge in Security's own high flying Chris Vertigo. The FAN would show alot of cunning often managing to avoid Vertigo at the last moment before catching him into an array of back suplexes. Chris would hit a "satelite headscissors" onto the FAN causing him to go over the top landing directly onto the steel steps below. In the end The FAN would manage to pull the referee into the path of the oncoming Vertigo knocking the referee down. That allowed the FAN to bring in his chair and hit Vertigo with it before finishing him off as a woozy referee counted the 3. Afterwards Vertigo and Adams would get into a shouting match, pushing each other as Vertigo blamed Adams for not helping him out..

-Match 4: CORE vs. Ian Cross

.winner: NO CONTEST after the referee had trouble controlling both men in and out of the ring

Notes: This was simply put not a match at all. From start to the beginning both men took each other all over 34 Broadway trying to inflict as much damage as possible with the referee attempting several times to get both men back in the ring. Eventually the referee attempted to stop CORE before he grabbed her around the neck choking her before she called for the bell. The action continued going even after the decision as Security remained at at distance as the to violently battled outside the ring. CORE eventually managed to catch Cross back in the ring before powerbombing him into a ladder propped up in the corner. Security would then manage to seperate the 2 men focusing more on CORE unaware or Cross getting a chair. Chris Vertigo would manage to catch the chair at the last minute stopping Cross from hitting the restrained CORE only for Vertigo to turn around and hit Scott Adams over the head with it before beating him down.

-Match 5- TAG TEAM BATTLE ROYAL- [the last 2 Men in the ring get a shot at the tag titles at BREAKING POINT]:

Entrants: The Zoo Crew, Xtreme Pandemonium, 3XS, The Prep Club, The FAN & chair, The Security Team, Ian Cross, & CORE

winners: Ian Cross and CORE

Notes: Neither Ian Cross or CORE was scheduled for the rumble however due to the ongoing action that would occur in the back management instructed both men back out to the ring. The Prep Club showed little unity as Ronald Wake often shoved Travis D. out of the way before attacking someone. No sooner had Chris Vertigo entered into the rumble than only minutes later a injured Adams would come running down taking himself over the top as he clotheslined Vertigo over it as well. In the end only CORE and Cross remained as Cross looked to apologize and make a deal presenting a handshake to CORE while on his knees. Cross would only use this to sucker CORE into his "Holo-cross" as Ian stood over top of him

...INTERMISSION...

-Match 6: Cracked vs. Jude (w/ Cory Kastle)

winner: Jude with a double stomp off the top onto the back of Cracked followed by the pin

Notes: A even match up as Jude found himself often suprised by the flexibility and quickness of Cracked. Despite the presence of Cory Kastle at ringside he played little part in the match up as Cracked managed to eventually collide him and Jude together outside the ring. In the end, Cracked's abilities wouldn't be enough as he found himself draped on the bottom turnbuckle as Jude came off the top with a double stomp to pick up the win.

-Match 7: Travis D. vs. Matt Skills (w/ Scott Richards)

winner : Matt Skills with a single leg crab submission after Blaine Barret hit Travis in the leg with the golf club

Notes: Skills would actually live up to part of his name by displaying some of his technical wrestling skills while working over Travis' leg. Scott Richards would interfere several times during the match up as Matt often pulled the referee away. Travis even managed to hit a variation of the "Prep-handle Bomb" during the match as he yelled out for Barret. Travis would eventually get back the advantage knocking both Richards and Skills down. However, as the referee attempted to get Richards out of the ring Blaine Barret would slide in delivering 2 vicious shots with the golf club to Travis D.'s leg before rolling out undetected. .

GBW World Title #1 Contender PROMO - Executive Director of Backlash Productions: Debbie Bouch came into the ring to announce the winner of the fan's choice but was interupted as Simon Ryme would come down to the ring. Simon basically got on the mic talking about how he went down to EWA and was forced to tag with Mr. Excellent and that they dominated and our now the new EWA Tag Team Champions. He then went on stating that there was no one left in the company for him, that he's beaten all the big players in GBW and no matter what he will never loose the title. This then prompted all three choices, Derek Frazier, "Showtime" JT Roberts and Mr.Excellent to all individually make their entrances and come down ringside. It was announced that the fan's choice for Simon Ryme at BREAKING POINT would be none other than "Showtime" JT Roberts. Both Roberts and Ryme coldy stared back at each other as Excellent got on the mic and insulted Simon but asked Showtime to do him one favor and beat him at BREAKING POINT.

-Match 8: BREAKER TITLE MATCH - "The Icon" Blaine Barret vs. Ryan Phenix(c)

winner: Ryan Phenix with the "4:20 Splash" on Barret for the pin

Notes: Barret would dominate the match up, repeatedly catching Ryan off guard. Phenix however would not stay down knocking Barret to the outside which was soon followed up by front flip senton over the top onto Barret below. Phenix would even set Blaine on the turnbuckle to attempt a hurracanrana only to be caught into a sit-out powerbomb off the second rope. A fustrated Barret eventually grabbed the golf club and looked to hit Phenix when Travis D. jumped onto the apron taking the club away and sling shotting Blaine on the ropes positioning him for Phenix to hit the "4:20 Splash"

-Match 9: Scott Richards (w/ Matt Skills) vs. "Showtime" JT Roberts

winner: "Showtime" JT Roberts with a "Remix Kick" and the pin

Notes: Roberts looked for revenge and to make a statement to Simon as he took it to Richards. JT would deliver a flurry of hard kicks to Richards throughout the match. Roberts would attempt a "Remix Kick" early only to have it caught and reversed into a fisherman style neck breaker. Roberts would manage another comeback delivering a kick to Scott which would actually dislocate Richards jaw. Despite his jaw Richards eventually even hit his own version of the "Remix Kick" on Roberts only to get a 2, then followed up with his "Vice City Splash" again only to get a 2 count. Richards then attempted to do JT's own "Play of the Week" submission only to have it reversed and applied on him. Matt Skills attempted to come into the ring as the referee held him back. Simon Ryme would come from the back and jump into the ring as JT released the hold on Richards, waiting for JT to stand up as he attempted to deliver a "yakuza kick" to JT only for him to duck it and hit Richards instead. Simon unphased by the accident would turn around and bail out last second as JT attempted to hit his kick on him. In the end as both men stared back, Roberts would finally hit his "Remix kick" and get the pin as Simon wlaked away never leting his eyes off of Roberts

-MAIN EVENT-EWA TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH - Derek Frazier & Jimmy Starz vs. Mr.Excellent & Simon Ryme(c)

winners: Derek Frazier & Jimmy Starz after the referee turned out to work for the EWA, refusing to count the 3 until Frazier rolled up Excellent for a quick count

Match restarted since under GBW rules.

winners: Mr.Excellent & Simon Ryme after Excellent hit the "Twin City Driver" on Frazier for ther pin

Notes: It's now understood that both companies had decided for official Tanya Stephens to referee this contest but somehow was changed by the other referee Zack Matthews in order to help Frazier win the titles. A solid start off allowed Frazier and Starz to expose the disention between Ryme and Excellent but it was short lived. Simon would eventually get tagged in and dominate Jimmy Starz for several minutes. However, it would be short lived as he soon found himself double teamed , even receiving the "dream sequence" from Frazier and Starz. Simon would mange to finally make the tag to Excellent as he cleared house pulling Frazier to the apron and delivering a piledriver onto it. Excellent would roll Frazier back in for the cover as the referee stopped at 2, taking off his shirt to reveal he was working for the EWA. This allowed Frazier to hit a low blow as referee Matthews delivered a quick 3 count. Apollo Cruz then hit the ring followed by Tanya Stephens and took out EWA referee Zack Matthews demanding the match be restarted with the correct referee. Frazier would turn around and be picked up into the "Twin City Driver' as the referee counted the official 3. Afterwards as Simon grabbed his titles, JT Roberts would walk down the aisle way as yet again both men stared each other down, exchanging words back and forth as Security stepped in to seperate the two. Meanwhile Frazier, Starz, and Matthews would attack Excellent and Cruz in the ring as for the first time a conflicted Simon looked back and forth between the ring and the door. Simon would coming running back grabbing a chair as all of the EWA guys cleared out.
