January 15, 2005 - GBW Saturday Night Xtreme

-Match 1: NJ Indy All -Stars vs. The Security Team (Chris Vertigo/Scott Adams)

.winner: NJ Indy All-Stars with the "Jersey Shore Breaker " and the pin

Notes: Security seemed to be strong in the early going against the returning All-Stars. The All-Stars would eventually manage to isolate Vertigo and continue to work over the rookie. JC would knock Adams to the outside and hit a top rope somersault plancha onto all of security. This allowed for the quick double team on Vertigo to pick up the pin. An impressive showing for the returning JC Ryder as he showed little ring rust after being injured for several months

3XS Promo - Scott Richards and Matt Skills would come out and complain about them "unfairly" loosing the Tag Titles in a Triple Threat Match last month and that they were still the rightful champions. They would go onto explain that Simon Ryme had also been screwed out of the title and had been suspended by the company for an indefinite period of time. They continued on with a humorous version of Jeopard with a hand picked fan until interupted by JT Roberts. Roberts would get on the mic bascially saying everyone is concerned about everything else but what's happened to him. That no matter what he did for the company they never gave him the break he deserved, never gave him the shot at the GBW World Heavyweight Title, they always over looked him. JT went on to say he should rightfully have a shot tonight and that he will not face Excellent and if the company has a problam he will gladly quit. This brought out Excellent who wondered what had happened to JT, why he was acting this way and if he wasn't gonna step up to the challenge. He would continue on by enraging JT that he's lost everything and that he was a piece of trash, etc. Eventually the two verbally assaulted each other until they agreed on the match later tonight.

-Match 2 : Ian Cross vs. Arkham

winner: Ian Cross with the "Holo-Cross" and the pin

Notes: Cross would get on the mic before the match stating it was a time of change, a revolution if you will and that tonight he will defeat his first follower. An uncharacteristic match for Cross who found himslef going hold for hold with Arkham. The unorthodox style of Arkham kept Cross off of him game as Arkham came at him from all angles. Cross even tried to stop the match half way through only to sucker punch Arkham to regain control. After beating Arkham, Ian would drag him to the bag and leave the building.

-Match 3: Ronald Wake vs. Ryan Phenix

winner: Ryan Phenix with a "4:20 Splash" and pin

Notes: Phenix would grossly be outpowered the entire match . Both men would trade ferocious chops the entire match just redening each others chest. Towards the end, Wake's overconfidence let to a quick comeback and the "4:20 Splash" for Phenix to steal the win.

"The Icon" Blaine Barret Promo- Barret came out without his fellow Preps saying there were no more challengers for his title, that he had already beaten some of the greats and he should be the GBW World Heavyweight Champion. Blaine would continue on until he was interupted by Debbie Bouch: Executive Director of Backlash Productions who informed him since he was so arrogant he wouldn't mind defending his title tonight, or in fact 24/7. No sooner had the stipulation been thrown down that Bruno of The Hard Core Mafia jumped the rail and attacked Barret. This also would bring out Ring Crew #2 from the back.

-Impromptu 24/7 GBW Breaker Title Match: Bruno vs. Ring Crew #2 vs. "The Icon" Blaine Barret (c)

winner: "The Icon" Blaine Barret (c) after using the gollf club to knock out his opponents and get the pin.

-Match 4- GBW World Heavyweight Title #1 Contendership Match- Winner faces CORE later that night, Loser referees the match: Mr. Excellent vs. "Showtime" JT Roberts

.winner: Mr. Excellent after hitting the "Twin City Driver " for the pin

Notes: The crowd seemed divided on who to root for the entire match. Mr. Excellent suprisingly kept up with the speed of JT Roberts often catching JT off guard allowing him a moment to strike. Roberts continually worked on the left arm of Excellent until hitting "The Play of The Week" submission. Just as Roberts thought Excellent would tap, the doors would burst open as the suspended Simon Ryme came down the aisle way shouting at JT. The distraction seemed invain as security held back Ryme, JT would manage to hit his "Remix Kick" on Excellent and then proceeded to the outside to go toe to toe with the injured Ryme. JT would push him followed by a slap that enraged Simon as he was soon escorted back out of the building. Roberts would slide back in and try "The Play of The Week" again only to have it reversed into the "Twin City Driver" for the quick pin and win.

...INTERMISSION...

-Match 5: Lucky vs. Devon Moore

winner:Lucky with a "Shooting Star Press" for the pin

Notes: A shocking debut for newcomer Devon Moore as he matched every highflying move Lucky could dish out. Moore would manage to deliver a suicide dive to Lucky after knocking him to the outside. Not to long after Lucky would manage to hit a top-rope spring board moonsault to Moore on the outside. Moore would attempt to hit a "Tiger Driver 98"" several times with it being reversed before finally hitting it. Moore would eventually attempt a "Phoenix Splash" but miss as Lucky moved out of the way. Finally, Lucky would head to tope rope after delivering his "720 DDT" and hit the "Shooting Star Press" for the victory.

-Match 6: GBW WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE Match- 3XS vs. Xtreme Pandemonium (c)

winner : Xtreme Pandemonium with a double roll-up for the win

Notes: Pandemonium came out with out the belts stating that ever since they won them they were stolen. A total non-stop match from start to beginning with the tide going back and forth. After Skills accidentally collided with the referee he pulled out a chain kocking out both Cruz & Maccabi waking the referee to make the 3-count. Security would see the chain and inform the referee who restarted the match allowing the quick roll-up for XP to retain. Afterwards 3XS would get into a fight with Security before being out-numbered and thrown to the back.

-Impromptu 24/7 GBW Breaker Title Match- Ryan Phenix vs. "The Icon" Blaine Barret (c)

winner and new champion: Ryan Phenix after Travis D. accidentally knocked out Barret with the crutch allowing the pin

Notes: Barret hurried out to the ring with the injured Travis D. and Ronald Wake watching his back. He had hoped to have the 24/7 stipulation removed when Phenix came out of no where with a high cross body on all of them. The interference of Travis D. would backfire on Barret causing Phenix to steal the pin and the title.

-MAIN EVENT-GBW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH: Mr. Excellent vs. CORE (c) -SPECIAL REFEREE- "Showtime" JT Roberts

winner: CORE after attempting a driver on Excellent and JT delivering the "Remix Kick" causing him to fall on top

Notes: Throughout the entire match JT showed no favortism for either man, often getting right up into their faces . CORE would have Excellent set up for the powerbomb when JT would deliver one "Remix Kick", followed by another. Soon after when Excellent was about to finish CORE, JT would hit his "Play of The Week" submission further injuring the arm he had worked on earlier in the night. CORE would eventually get fed up with JT and hit him with a big boot, knocking him into the corner as CORE would move out of the way last second as Excellent would accidentally splash JT into the corner. CORE would then deliver his "World Coming Down" powerbomb to Excellent but couldn't get the three count as JT remained unconscious. In the end as both Excellent and CORE jockeyed back and forth with the driver, JT would deliver one more "Remix Kick" with CORE collapsing onto Excellent for the 3-count. JT would look at both men before picking up the title and then spitting on it walking away as fans booed.
